5 Ways to add colour to your wedding

It’s no secret that I LOVE colour, and I’m a big fan of weddings that are full of colour, so I thought I’d highlight a lot of ways I’ve seen that you can use to add colour to your wedding!

Colourful Non-traditional wedding outfits

Wedding dresses don’t have to be white anymore and grooms can wear more than just navy, so why not think about how you can add pops of colour to your outfits. If you’re maybe a little intimidated by going full colour with your outfits then why not use your accessories to add a pop of colour instead! You could have a colourful flower crown, bright pocket square, coloured shoes or maybe mix things up with your make up and got for a brighter lipstick!

Colourful Flower Ideas

Flowers are a super easy way to add lots of colour into your wedding, and your photos! From a big bright colourful bouquet, to colourful button holes, floral displays across your reception tables to big bright floral arches for your ceremony, flowers can fill a space with colour really easily and smaller displays can be moved throughout the day so you could move them from your ceremony/church to the venue and create lots of colour that way.

Colourful Wedding Decorations

Like flowers there are SO many choices for colourful decorations and lots can be pretty inexpensive but effect! Think paper lanterns, bunting, ribbons, balloons, pom pom walls. All are really good ways to add a lot of colour and a lot of impact… on a budget too!

Alternative Wedding Cakes

Okay cakes definitely do NOT need to be white fondant… and also don’t even need to be cakes! You can have whole dessert tables, doughnuts, cookies, brownies. The sugar options are endless - And all are super easy ways to add to your colourful wedding experience.

Smoke Bomb Wedding Photography

Okay, one last way to add some bright bold colours into your wedding photographs is smokebombs! I’ve done a separate blog here on advice for using them, but they definitely add a lot of impact into your day and come in so many different colours, if you wedding is in a field or woodland area with a lot of green I think they look ace for breaking it up a bit!
