I still have some of last years awesome weddings to share but I thought I’d update you with 2019 so far because I’ve already photographed 7 of my own epic weddings and second shot a couple too as well as some product shoots and couple shoots!

Finding any wedding supplier can be daunting, but brides often confess that they are particularly nervous about approaching florists. This can be for a number of reasons, most commonly that people don't think they know enough about flowers and don't want to look silly. Well I'm here to tell you gals, sometimes we don't even know the names of flowers and it is absolutely not something to be afraid if. 99.9% of florists are fun, friendly, down to earth humans who genuinely LOVE what they do. I for one know that I would talk to a brick wall about peonies and floral trends if it looked remotely like it was listening, so send that email or make that call today!
I’m happy to be on hand as little or as much as you want when it comes to being involved with your planning. Some people find they like to find their own suppliers along the way, other couples will ask for lots of recommendations for all aspects of their wedding party. I talked about find suppliers here but I always love to recommend people I know and have worked with so you can have a super supplier squad on your day! (we’re like the Avengers but more helpful and less destroying everything…)

I’ve seen some awesome ideas that couples have DIY’d or purchased, and also found a lot of ideas on Pinterest, so keep on reading to see a few memorable wedding favour ideas to thrill your guests and save you those all-important pounds!
Woah! Straight in with a bold statement I know, but picking a wedding photographer is a big decision and I know there are a LOT of us out there! I’m hoping that in writing this blog post, by the time you get to the end, you’ll either already be drafting your enquiry email and raving about all the similar interests we share, OR you may also be swiftly clicking X and heading back to Google* (*other search engines available) which is A okay, the whole point of this post is to share more of me & my role on a wedding day - I’m super clear from the outset that a photographer spends a lot of time with you on your day so I think it’s bloomin’ important that you get on with whoever you pick!
The ceremony took place in a woodland clearing in front of the most beautiful floral moongate by The Country Garden Flower Company. The ceremony area was filled with flowers, which was perfect for the surroundings. The ceremony began with several beautiful readings from friends and family, and finished with them walking down the aisle and being showered with colourful confetti. It was a wonderful ceremony, full of lots of laughter and so much love. The ceremony was led by their friend Stevo who really made it witty and perfect for them, it was full of fun readings by friends that all fit in with their literary theme and ended with a Their final reading was an adapted version of the poem, A Scientific Romance, by Tim Pratt. A close friend Richard had memorised the whole thing (it was long), and delivered it with confidence and wit which had everyone laughing, including me!
2018 was a great year for weddings, especially with the royal weddings and both Meghan and Beatrice opting to leave some traditions behind and embrace some more modern touches - That’s as far as you’ll really get me talking about Royal weddings, but I will just say Beatrices dress was all the Disney wedding dress dreams I needed last year!
I absolutely LOVE glitter. Who doesn’t? And when I talk about glitter, I’m on a Coachella/Glasto vibe in my head but with less mud and more sparkle!
It’s not just a festival thing these days now and glitter bars are slowly and sparkly making their way into your events. Whether it’s a garden party, wedding reception or a bride tribe upping their hen-do game, glitter is well and truly on the agenda.
When Kat and Colin first got in touch with me about their Mexican inspired fiesta wedding in Hackney, I was so excited – they were planning such a fun and laid back wedding with lots of colour, a piñata and even a mariachi band. Kat and Colin are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
Emma and Jim got married at the unusual Goody Ales, Herne Bay, in August. It was a crazy marquee wedding, with plenty of beer on the tables and Morris dancers everywhere.
